Degenia Velebitica

An extremely rare, endemic plant, which appears on Velebit's mountain slopes, but also in rock crevices. So far, it has only been found in three places. Two are on southern Velebit - Krug and Kuka plana or Pavelić plana above Šugarska dulib. The third site is on the middle Velebit - Solin slope, near Budakovo brdo. This plant represents the most interesting relic and endemic species of our flora. It is the rarest plant in Croatia and has been strictly protected under the Nature Protection Act since 1964.
