Karlobag

The small town between Velebit and the sea is located on an important road route that leads from Rijeka to Dubrovnik on the Adriatic highway, and inland to Gospić, the Plitvice Lakes and Zagreb. Karlobag is a wonderful combination of the Mediterranean and the continent, a crystal clear sea and the most beautiful Croatian mountain, which is only a few minutes' drive away.

In addition to the town of Karlobag, which is also the municipal seat, the largest towns on the Riviera are: Ribarica, Cesarica, Lukovo Šugarje, Barić Draga and Sv. Marija Magdalena, and on the Velebit of Baška Oštarija.

Karlobag is a place of gastronomic delicacies of the Mediterranean and continental Velebit style, with a rich and varied culinary offer. The natural taste of the sea and numerous Mediterranean specialties have not changed over the centuries.

The climate in Karlobag is Mediterranean and in September the weather is still pleasant and warm. The average daily temperature in summer is 28°C and the summer sea temperature is around 24°C. There are also many sunny days during the winter.

Several small shops are located in the immediate vicinity of the port. Also, souvenir and gift shops are located in the center.
