Flower honey

Since he was always interested in nature protection and ecosystem sustainability, and it is common knowledge that without bees there would not be more than 70% of the food in the world, the owner of OPG Ašan decided to devote himself to beekeeping as a hobby, with a tendency to develop towards professional beekeeping. In 2020, he took over OPG from his father and started beekeeping, registering bees in HAPIH and in the Register of registered facilities in the business with food of animal origin.

The motto by which he is guided is "Quality before quantity", with the aim of producing the highest quality beekeeping products from the untouched nature of Lika. An example of this quality are the awards won at the "Autumn in Lica" event: second place for Medun in 2022 and first place for Cvjetni med in 2023.

The beehives are distributed from Smiljan to Donji Pazarište and all the way to the coast of Sv. Juraj, depending on the possibilities and amount of honey in a particular locality. The owner invests large amounts of money in the highest quality and most diverse equipment, in order to make work as easy as possible and the product as high quality as possible.

The headquarters of OPG is in the town of Smiljan, where you can currently buy flower honey and honeydew. In the foreseeable future, it plans to expand its offer to include propolis and flower powder (pollen).
