Lika destination presented at the Austrian Tourism Fair
From 11th to 14th January 2018, Vienna's Ferienmesse Vienna Fair was held in Vienna. At the fair, two tourist agencies of the Lika Destination cluster members presented all visitors to Lika destination. Most visitors, as the representatives of tourist agencies said, heard or were in the Plitvice Lakes National Park while the rest of Lika were not fully acquainted. In Lika, about 60% of the destination area is protected by some form of natural protection. Our national parks and natural beauties are the basis for the development of tourism offerings that are increasingly popular in Lika every year. Lika is the ideal place to meet guests before and after the tourist season. We become an interesting destination for those tourists who want to explore new ways and discover unexplored landscapes. Because of this, Lika's destination can be said to be the destination of protected areas. In addition, Lika is increasingly working on developing tourism on a sustainable development model by introducing a system of products bearing the Lika Quality mark and thus becoming a premium quality product. Local food is increasingly sought after by tourists, and because of this, catering facilities want to offer their gastronomic offer. Based on the Lika Quality system, they want to connect catering facilities and local food manufacturers. Visitors to this renowned fair in Vienna were extremely interested in what Lika's destination offers them.
