Lika Destination Cluster presented its work on Instameat, which was held on January 18, 2018 in NP Plitvice Lakes. Instamees were organized by Croatian instagramers Domagoj Sever and Jasminka Đaković, and they gathered instagramers, bloggers, youtubers from Austria, Hungary, Japan, Ukraine… The Instamees were organized in a targeted winter season to show the offer of Plitvice Lakes with its surrounding and off-season facilities. This was an ideal opportunity to get acquainted with the rest of the Lika resort, which covers 13% of the area of ​​the Republic of Croatia, and with the fact that, besides the most famous and most visited national park of Plitvice Lakes, the destination offers yet many natural beauties, protected areas of nature, rich cultural heritage and excellent gastronomic offer. The members of the Lika House restaurant are products that carry the label of the regional quality system Lika Quality. These are high-quality products produced in the Lika area, which have a strong tradition in production. All the participants had the chance to taste cheese, brandy, juice and honey from local producers and to see why the Lika souvenirs are special. "We gathered an extraordinary team, domestic, but also from neighboring countries. Together at all social platforms we have over 1.1 million followers and I can say that this is currently the largest such organized gathering of instagramers in Croatia, but also in the wider region of " said Jasminka Đaković from the organizer. This promotion is a new step in the activities of the Public Institution which aims to promote the entire destination. With such promotional activities, the aim is to offer visitors and other facilities in time to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park so that they can plan for longer stays in the vicinity of the National Park. Visitors should experience the Plitvice Lakes through the story of the National Park and nature protection, additional activities and attractions, gastronomy, culture and customs.
