Green Fair in Perušić
Perušić Tourist Board, Public Institution "Cave Park Grabovača" with the support of the Municipality of Perušić and the Municipal Library of Perušić, in cooperation with Cluster Lika Destination, was organized on June 23, 2018, The Green Fair, which aimed to create and implement new tourist facilities in the project area on the basis of active inclusion of cultural and natural heritage in combination with content from rural areas, which relate to gastronomy and traditional accommodation offerings and target groups to enable new experiences and content through sustainable tourism. Rural tourism is a significant factor in the activation and sustainable development of rural areas that helps to preserve local identity, tradition and customs, protects the environment, strengthens autochthonous, traditional and ecological production and helps the development of rural areas based on sustainable development. Local gastronomy, accommodation facilities, local tourist offer and family farms were presented and linked to the fair. A public forum was also held where they were successful in their business presenting their work in three categories: agricultural production, agricultural production and tourism and innovation. Among others at the fair were the producers whose products carry the Lika Quality label.
