Inappropriate use of the Lika Quality Labels
Increasing popularity has led to the illegal use of the Lika Quality mark and inappropriate location markup. Namely, the Lik Quality Sign is protected by the State Intellectual Property Office as a warrant, where the right holder is a trademark Lika Local Action Group while the operational implementation of the Lika Quality project was entrusted to the Lika Destination Cluster, which also cares about the legal application of the sign. Therefore, the right of use is only those producers whose products have been made a positive decision after signing up for the Public Call Announcing Cluster Lika Destination. However, in the Municipality of Vrhovine, in June, there were set up markings for manufacturers not in the Lika Quality system, and were set up by the official procedure and without the use of a trademark, which is in contravention of the trademark law. Accordingly, it is urgently required to remove the mentioned markings from the set tables because it would otherwise be sanctioned. Regional Quality System Lika Quality is systematically created and has clear rules that must be respected.
