Lika as a unique destination presented at the WTM fair in London
This year, the World Travel Market Fair (WTM) was held in London from 05 to 07 November 2018, thus officially commencing the promotion of Croatian tourist offer at fairs for the next tourist year. It is one of the most important tourist markets in the world, and among the many exhibitors and booths of 185 tourist destinations that present their tourist offer, the Croatian one also found. In addition to the Croatian Tourist Board, 23 of the co-exhibitors, including the Plitvice Lakes National Park. At this important tourist fair, as well as a few previous ones, The Plitvice Lakes National Park has also presented the rest of Lika's destination with its recognizable brand. Visitors were also given the opportunity to hear about other protected nature areas in the destination that have so far been less known. The goal of joint promotion is to develop the entire destination evenly, in a sustainable way, under the motto "Smart Sustainable Destination". That it is one of the most important tourist fairs in the world shows that around 5000 exhibitors participated in the fair whose offer was reviewed by more than 51 thousand visitors during the three days of the event, including representatives of the most important tourist companies and institutions in the world.
