The Integrated Quality Management project in Lika has started
In the Plitvice Lakes National Park, on 17 January 2019, the Contract on the implementation of the Integral Quality Management Project in the Lika destination was signed. As it is known, the branding of Lika destination was started in 2015 through the INTEGRA LIKA 2020 project. The project was initiated by LAG LIKA, and today it is operated by Cluster Lika Destination.
To make a significant step forward in measuring the quality of sustainable tourism development, Plitvice Lakes National Park and Lika Destination Cluster signed a contract with Feel IQM on the implementation of the IQM Destination Lika project. Through this project, which will include some 100 people from Lika of the destination, a measurable system of service quality levels will be established, offers of the National Park as well as the destination itself, where through the individual education of the stakeholders themselves will raise the present level of quality in the destination, which will make Lika the destination more recognizable on the tourist market.
Today's event was attended by about 80 representatives of protected areas of nature, private renters, restaurant owners, hotels, camps, tourist boards, agricultural producers and other stakeholders of the tourist sector of Lika destination.
The implementation of this project will improve the quality of service and supply. The pilot project began on Lošinj, a destination that in 2015 received the UNWTO Award for Innovation and Creativity, the third in the world.
