LIKA DESTINATION CLUSTER AND CROATIAN ISLAND PRODUCT CLUSTER START COOPERATION
From September 3 to 6, a workshop called "Tastes and Smells of Korcula" was held on the island of Korcula. The workshop was organized by the Business Association Cluster "Croatian Island Product" (HOP), and the main sponsor of the workshop is the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Since 2007, the "Croatian Island Product" cluster has been certifying original and quality products from the islands that have been recognized both on the Croatian market and beyond. In this project, in addition to their members, they also hosted representatives of the Lika Destination Cluster. The Lika Destination cluster was founded in 2017 and implements the regional system of food, beverage and souvenir quality - Lika Quality. These systems include those products that are produced in the area of the destination Lika, have a foothold in tradition and are of exceptional quality.
The Croatian island product cluster recognized the success of the Lika Quality system, which is in many ways unique in Croatia. Therefore, due to the similarity of the systems that implement these exchanges of experiences as well as the arrangement of future cooperation, the Croatian Island Product Cluster invited representatives of the Lika Destination Cluster to participate in this workshop.
Through participation in the fair and workshops, representatives and members of both clusters got to know each other better and how they planned future collaborations.
