On May 22 and 23, 2023, starting at 12:00, a conference was held at the "Nikola Tesla" Polytechnic in Gospić within the second work package of the Erasmus+ International Project 2021-2-TR01-KA210-ADU-000048627 partner Yıldız Technical University, Turkey ; Gaziantep University, Turkey and University of Thessaly, Greece, under the same name of the project COOPERATION FOR INTEGRATION UNDER FINANCIAL INCLUSION OF CURRENT REFUGEES AND NEWCOMERS

The participants of the conference are: Representative of the Lika-Senj Police Administration, head of the Department for Administrative Affairs of the Lika-Senj Police Administration; Representative of the Lika-Senj County, Head of the Department for Civil Protection, Interregional and International Cooperation; Representative of the City of Gospić, Head of the Department for Social Activities; Representative of the Croatian Red Cross of Gospić; Head of the Civil Protection Service of the City of Gospić; Representative of PBZ bank, director for the mass segment of the North Dalmatia and Lika region; Representative of the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Counselor in the Government and the Government Office; Representative of the Office for Associations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia; Director of the Institute for Socially Responsible Business; Director of the Lika Destination Cluster; Employees and students of the Nikola Tesla Polytechnic in Gospić.

The key topics of the conference were: Issues of adaptation of refugees or newcomers to the financial system in the country where they live. The conclusions of the conference are:

✓ A key factor supporting the development of refugees' financial inclusion is their financial literacy

✓ In order to include and adapt refugees and newcomers to the financial system of the country, it is necessary to implement education and training programs on financial literacy

✓ Key factors for achieving financial inclusion and digital transformation practices for the inclusion of refugees and newcomers in the financial system are: multilingual mobile banking technology, virtual counseling, and practices to increase the level of financial literacy of refugees and newcomers.
