It is a fair that has traditionally been held for 20 years in a row, and this year the fair was visited by 1,500 accredited agents, 400 media representatives and 30 percent more tickets were sold compared to the previous year, i.e. more than 30,000 visitors visited the fair.
During the final day of the fair, Croatia received additional confirmation of successful presentation. Croatian Tourist Board was awarded a special award by the organizers of the fair for excellence in performance and presentation, highlighting the Croatian pavilion as the most creative.
"It is a renowned world tourist event, during which the Croatian tourism sector has the opportunity to highlight a wide range of domestic tourist products, all with the aim of quality promotion of our country as a safe, accessible and year-round destination. Our country is known on the American market for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality, all of which are recognized by numerous agents, as well as the audience itself, so we can conclude that Croatia is among the favorite European destinations of Americans", said Leila Krešić Jurić, director Representations of HTZ in New York.
