A lecture was held as part of the "Career Possibilities in Tourism in Lika II" project.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the Nikola Tesla Polytechnic in Gospić hosted the first lecture as part of the "Career Opportunities in Tourism in Lika II" project, co-financed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and implemented by the Lika Destination cluster in in cooperation with the Nikola Tesla Polytechnic from Gospić and the Employment Agency - Regional Office Gospić.

The goal of this project is to create synergy between employers and employees in tourism with the unemployed and young people. The project will strengthen the capacities of the target groups through education, transfer of knowledge and skills, and networking and will create a foundation for acquaintance and potential cooperation.

At the lecture, the representative of the Lika Destination cluster, Anamaria Matulj, highlighted the key aspects of the project, presented the Lika destination and highlighted its tourist potential. She also spoke about the different types of entrepreneurship that individuals can engage in in this region and presented examples of successful entrepreneurs.

At the lecture, Mr. Goran Šuper from Adventure Center Rizvan City, one of the first entrepreneurs in the destination who started dealing with this type of tourism, presented himself. Mr. Šuper shared his experience, emphasizing how he came up with the idea of starting the center, described the process from the idea to the creation of Rizvan City, and emphasized the importance of originality and attracting visitors.

In addition, the cluster further enriched the lecture by bringing Lika Quality products for tasting, "Plitvice strudel" and Gacka water. This emphasizes the quality of local products in the tourist offer of the region.

The lecture contributed to raising awareness of career opportunities in tourism in Lika and encouraged young and unemployed people to think about their own entrepreneurial endeavors.
