Lika destination - A workshop was held for renters

Organized by the Lika Destination Cluster and the Otočac Tourist Board, a workshop on sustainable renting was successfully held yesterday. This educational workshop, which is part of the "Climate Change: Sustainable Development in Lika" project, co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, gathered participants interested in improving their business in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.

The workshop was held at Gacko People's Open University Otočac, where participants had the opportunity to hear lectures on key topics such as climate change, the integration of agriculture and tourism as an important segment of sustainable development, and examples of good practice. They also received guidance on how to become good hosts and improve their business in a sustainable way. The lecturers emphasized the importance of adapting the tourism offer to climate change and presented concrete examples of successful cooperation between farmers and tourism workers.The aim of these workshops is to educate and empower the local community in efforts to preserve the environment and promote sustainable development. The workshop ended with a common conclusion that sustainability is key to the long-term success and prosperity of the region, and all participants were invited to continue to actively participate in similar initiatives and apply the acquired knowledge in their daily activities.
