Lika destination - Cluster Lika Destination was presented at the 50th International Crafts Fair in Celje

From May 12 to 17, 2017, Celje hosted the 50th International Crafts Fair that has more than 120,000 visitors. The last three days of the fair were dedicated to tourism, where Croatia was a partner country. The Croatian Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Chamber of Economy have presented numerous tourist boards from Croatia, including the tourist destination of Lika. At the beginning of 2017 a cluster of tourism was founded, named Cluster Lika Destination. The destination of Lika covers the wider area of Lika, Velebit and the sub-mountainous coast. On this well-visited fair, numerous visitors have visited the site of the Lika Destination Cluster and North Velebit National Park where they could taste the delicacies of our region. The cluster’s stand was visited by Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec, accompanied by the host of this tourist event, Mrs. Olivera Shejbal, the Assistant Minister of Tourism. Both were delighted with the products of the destination bearing the Lika Quality label. The stand was an indispensable place for our popular singer Miroslav Škoro, who emphasized his great love for Lika and its coast and was photographed at the stand. Our destination is very interesting for Slovenian tourists, as it offers a wealth of natural beauties, unrivaled clear sea, numerous opportunities for active tourism and top quality food. Also, Slovenian tourists travel several times a year and it is especially interesting that they are well-known weekend-tourists in the off-season. Lika Destination can certainly accommodate a far larger number of tourists than it is currently the case, with the exception of the overflowing NP Plitvice Lakes.
