Lika destination - Lika Destination got another professional paintball and shooting center

Representatives of LAG LIKA and Lika Destination Cluster have participated on September 22, 2017 at the opening of paintball and shooting center Lički sokol near Gračac (eng. Lika hawk). This praiseworthy project was established by a young entrepreneur from Zadar, Krešimir Budiša, who enriched the tourist offer of Lika with this investment. The center is built according to all professional standards with high quality terrain, and can accommodate up to 50 people. Along with a professional paintball court with equipment, the center offers opportunities for shooting air rifle, air pistol, bow and arrow, as well as a military range. In addition to numerous guests at the opening of the center, there were the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Tonči Glavina, Deputy County Prefect Mrs. Šime Vicković and Šime Mršić, as well as the Mayor of Gračac, Mrs. Nataša Turbić. During his address, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism emphasized the importance of such projects in tourism and the possibilities of using the Ministry's support.  The project investor, Mr. Krešimir Budiša, thanked the Ministry for supporting this investment, while the Mayor of Gračac, Mrs. Nataša Turbić, expressed her great satisfaction with this newly opened investment which means a major step in the tourist offer for this municipality. The Director of  LAG Lika and President of the Lika Destination Cluster, Mr. Tomislav Kovačević, emphasized that in recent years great steps have been taken in the lining of Lika and the sub-mountainous coasu as a unique tourist destination that will surely become a recognizable tourist destination in much wider proportions than it has been so far with its beauty and ever-increasing tourist offer. LAG LIKA, as well as the Lika Destination Cluster, extend to the territory of three counties: County of Lika-Senj, and parts of Karlovac and Zadar Counties. It occupis 12% of the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Through the INTEGRA LIKA 2020 project, we have integrated all the major stakeholders into the tourist development of our destination and this has proven to be the only correct way. By including agricultural producers and branding food through the regional quality label Lika Quality, we will create a recognizable gastronomic offer, where this destination has great potential. We believe that Lika and the sub-mountainous coast will in a short time take an important place on the map of well-known and high-quality tourist destinations. Tourism, as well as economic development, must not be left up to development, but must be guided by professionalism and philosophy of sustainable development. The Marketing Manager of the Center of the Lički sokol center, Ms. Marta Pintur, pointed out that the Lika area is largely a protected nature area with three national parks, a park of nature, a unique cave park and other protected localities. The development of selective forms of tourism, which is contributed by today's investment, is one of the key tasks of the Lika Destination Cluster, and with the enriched offer, as well as the Stay 3 Days in Lika project, it will surely extend the stay of tourists in the destination.
